Julie & Chris hold a truly special place in my heart—and in my photography journey. They were my very first clients, the ones who trusted me at the very beginning and allowed me to step into their lives with a camera and a dream. From that first session to every one since, they’ve been part of the foundation that shaped my work and my confidence as a photographer. That kind of trust is something I will never take lightly. And want to know what really made our sessions so fun? They're love. It truly radiates. Their chemistry is undeniable and pure, so much so that they make it really hard to not get caught up in it.

Their engagement session was nothing short of amazing. We ventured to the beautiful North Bay waterfront where we ran on the boardwalk, climbed on the rocks, played on the beach and in the water, and we ended it with some cuddles by a fire at dusk. With tons of laughs and tender moments, it really was one of my favourite sessions to date.

Oh, and let's not forget the copious amounts of McDonalds we consumed after we were all done. (YUM!) It was the perfect way to end an awesome evening!

They were scheduled to be wed mid July of 2020, surrounded by all their friends and family. Well, 2020 was a year like no other. The Covid-19 pandemic quickly turned everyone's lives upside down. This was also true for their wedding plans and their big wedding quickly turned into a small intimate elopement by the river.

As if they hadn't faced enough, their big day arrived and it was the thunderstorms of all thunderstorms. Complete with torrential downpours, crazy winds, rumbling thunder and flashes of lightning. With a last minute change of location, they said "I do!" with a few of their friends and family present. All that mattered was that they were beginning the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of photographing Julie & Chris through so many seasons of life. Each session feels less like a job and more like catching up with old friends, documenting moments that are both ordinary and extraordinary all at once. Watching their story unfold through my lens has been incredibly meaningful, and it’s a reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

What makes returning to Julie & Chris year after year so special is the comfort and connection we’ve built together. There’s an ease that comes from knowing each other so well—where laughter is natural, moments are genuine, and the images reflect who they truly are. Those are the sessions that fill my creative cup and remind me how powerful long-term relationships can be in this work.

I feel incredibly blessed to have clients like Julie & Chris who have supported me from the very beginning and continue to invite me into their lives. Their loyalty, kindness, and trust mean more than words can express. Thank you, Julie & Chris, for being part of my story as much as I’ve been part of yours—it’s an honor I’ll always be grateful for.
